Poor diet during pregnancy negatively affects off spring's long term health - new study
A research conducted in University of Cambridge suggests poor dietary intake of mother during her pregnancy increases chances of Type 2 diabetes in off spring. Type 2 diabetes is leading cause of heart diseases and cancer. Their study suggest that genetic make up achieved during the first nine months are affected by provided nutrition. Maternal diet affect aging .
Healthy and balanced diet is suggested during the pregnancy.

following foods are generally avoided during the pregnancy -
unpasteurized dairy products
Red meat
Raw Eggs (chances of infection)
Fish (mercury contamination)
fruits with hot potency like mangoes, papaya etc.
Expectant mother can gain weight in between of 11 to 15 kg. If your BMI is less than 18.5 then it is recommended to gain 12.5 to 18 kg
If BMI is between 19 to 26 then gain 11.5 to 16.
and lady with BMI more than 26 may gain 7 to 11.5 kg.
