Increase the reps as you progress. The idea is to have the feel of the excercise on the targeted body part like abs in this case. You can take the reps upto 25 to wo in each set.
you already have some great replies and I would like to add that after taking care of the body fat part, bring variation in your excercise. The results are shown a bit late but keep up ...good luck
Abdominal muscles are also like other muscles of your body so should exercise them like others.
1) NORMAL CRUNCHES
2) OBLIQUE CRUNCHES
3) INCLINED CRUNCHES.
DO 3 sets for each with 10 repetitions for each set.
