INGREDIENTS
Plums   1 kg
Salt   10 g
Clove, cardamom   10 g each
Black Pepper   10 g
Red chilly powder   10 g
Hing   1 g
Black pepper powder   40 g
Sugar   750 g
Vinegar   250 g
METHOD
  • Wash plums. Cook them in water till tender.
  • Sieve and remove skin and stones.
  • Add sugar, vinegar and spices and continue cooking till the mixture becomes sufficiently thick (check by plate test).
  • Bottles hot chutney in clean, sterilized bottles.
