INGREDIENTS
Channa dal   20 g
Urad chhilka   20 g
Moong chhilka   20 g
Ginger   1" piece (chopped)
Water   2 Cup
Salt   1 tsp
Turmeric powder   1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder   1/4 tsp
Garam masala   1/4 tsp
Onion (Chopped)   10g
Cumin seeds   1/2 tsp
Fat   3 tsp
METHOD
  • Pick, clean and wash the dals.
  • Add washed dals, ginger, salt and turmeric powder in a pressure cooker with water. Pressure cook for 10 minutes.
  • Adjust the consistency if necessary by adding boiling water and let it simmer for a few minutes on low heat, stir frequently.
  • Heat fat, fry chopped onions still golden brown. Add cumin seeds, garam masala and red chilli powder. Pour this baghar over the dal and serve hot in a bowl.
