INGREDIENTS
Suji   100 g
Curd   150 g
Peanuts   30 g
Washed urad dal   1 tsp
Channa dal   1 tsp
Mustard seeds   1/4 tsp
Green Chilli   two
Coriander leaves   a few
Oil   4 tsp
Salt   to taste
Sodium-bi-carbonate   a pinch
METHOD
  • Lightly fry suji in 1 tsp of oil.
  • Heat rest of the oil. Add mustard seeds. When they start spluttering add the peanuts and the dals. Fry till golden brown.
  • Add the above baghar to fried suji. Add beaten curds, chopped green chilies and coriander leaves, salt and soda to suji mixture. Mix well. Keep it aside for half an hour.
  • Smear the idli steamer with oil and steam spoonfuls of the above idli mixture in the idli steamer for 15 minutes.
  • Serve hot with chutney.
