INGREDIENTS
Lentils,uncooked   2 cups
Water   10 cups
Onion chopped   1
Carrots chopped   2
Stalks celery, chopped   2
Potatoes, cut in chunks   3
Bay leaves   2
Salt   1 tsp
Black pepper   1/2 tsp
METHOD
  • Combine all ingredients in a large soup pot. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to simmer.
  • Cook covered for about 45 minutes, until the lentils are soft and start to fall apart.
  • Once cooked add salt & pepper.
