Yahoo Answer(s)Hi everyone i want to open a small business. I want to open an afterschool tutoring center, i've noticed that alot of those have opened recently and are doing really well. These afterschool tutoring centers focus on picking up children after they get off from school and watching over them while they finish up homework, till their parents come to pick them up/are driven home by tutoring center workers. These centers also provides extra weekend courses that include music classes/art classes/exam prep. Unfortunately, i have no experience opening a business and would like some pointers and advice regarding where to find business requirements etc. I've heard that afterschool centers require an educational licence, whereas i've also heard that tutoring centers only need a business license. Where can i find an extensive list of requiements/business permits that states these things? Also would like someone who has opened one of those afterschool centers to share your experiences/ list steps to opening an afterschool center. I would greatly appreciate any feedbacks/ instructions. Edit: so sorry, state of new york, new york city.Answer: I contemplated doing the same thing, so this may be a little unethical, but I called Sylvan and Kuman and acted like I was interested in opening a franchise and had a list of marketing, legal, accreditation, etc. questions. Basically in order to add validity you can become credentialed. You may want to contact a credentialing company. When "caring for children" there are state licensing procedures. Your local chamber of commerce can help you a little. It's practically the same as a day care license (from what I've been told). Materials is going to be the main thing. Creating them yourself will take hundreds or thousands of man hours. Unless you purchase them from a company. Lastly some BIG money can be made because under NCLB there are millions of students that are supposed to receive outside district tutoring. For that you will have to fill tons of paper work with the state dept of ed. If you can navigate it though you'll make a great chunk of change! Good luck!
Oh that lash... Whatever in the other comments is a scam. I read about this recently and do you think they have a right to go around doing this? Have they got nothing else better to do other than checking on other people`s private life? Your views will be deeply appreciated.Answer: they should tackle the problem like muslim khawat, main judi, minum arak, hisap dadah, rasuah, rempit, ragut etc etc
