Ingredients:

Plums   1 1/4 kg (about 1 kg pulp)
Sugar   1 kg
Water   400 ml
 

Method:

  • Wash plums, cut and remove the seeds.
  • Cook with water on slow heat till the peel is soft and mashed.
  • Add sugar and continue to cook till done as tested by the glass test.
  • Pour hot jam into sterilized wide mouthed bottles and let cool.
  • Close the cap, seal with wax and store in a cool place.
