Ingredients:

Fish (Preferably Pomfret)   200 g
Lemon   1
Salt   1 teaspoon
Red chilly powder   a pinch
Black pepper   a pinch
Egg   1
Flour   20 g
Bread crumbs   2 tablespoon
Oil or Butter   As required for frying
Potato   100 g
Tomato   50 g
 

Method:

  • Clean and wash the fish properly.
  • Apply salt and lemon juice to fish and marinate for an hour.
  • Coat the fish thinly with flour.
  • Beat the egg and dip the fish in it. Coat with bread crumbs.
  • Deep fry in oil or butter.
  • For potato chips, peel potato and cut into long fingers.
  • Dip the fingers in salted water fro 15 minutes.
  • Deep fry in butter or oil till they become crisp.
  • Dish is ready. Serve fried fish with potato chips, garnished with tomato and lemon slice.
