Milk   30 ml
Carrots   200 g
Ghee (Fat)   20 g
Sugar   40 g
Khoa (Dried whole milk)   40 g
Cashewnuts (Kaju)   2
Pistachios (Pista)   2
Almonds   2
Green cardamom (Chhoti Elaichi)   1


  • Wash, scrape and grate the carrots.
  • Heat ghee, add cardamom seeds and grated carrot. Fry a little and then add milk.
  • Cook on slow fire till the milk dries up.
  • Add sugar and cook on slow fire till the halwa is dry again. Don't over cook.
  • Add in three-fourth of crumbled khoa and cook while stirring. Add half the chopped nut and remove from fire.
  • Garnish with remaining khoa and nuts and serve hot.
