Prep Time Cook Time Serves



Refined flour (Maida)   20 g
Butter   10 g
Castor sugar   15 g
Vanilla essence   1/4 tsp
Milk Powder   10 g
Milk   20 ml
Baking Powder   1/8 tsp
Soda- bi-carbonate   1/8 tsp
Salt   1 pinch


  • Mix salt, soda, baking powder with Maida and sieve it.
  • Cream the butter and sugar in a bowl till light and fluffy.
  • Mix milk powder into the above creamed mixture.
  • Add flour and liquid milk in small amounts mixing well with each addition. Add essence and mix well.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared cake tin and bake in a moderate oven (350 F) for 30-35 minutes or till done(a tooth pick inserted into it comes out clean).
  • Remove from cake tin. Cool on a wire rack before cutting.
  • Serve.
