Ingredients:

Milk   500 ml
Moong (Green Gram) Dal   30 g
Sugar   4 tsp
Almond   4
 

Method:

  • Wash and soak the dal in water for an hour.
  • Boil dal in water till it is tender.
  • Add milk and simmer on slow heat for 20 minutes with frequent stirring.
  • When it becomes creamy, add sugar and stir.
  • Cook so that the mixture becomes creamy again.
  • Remove from fire.
  • Serve hot or cold, garnished with shredded almonds.
