Ingredients:

Cucumbers   2 medium sized
Tomatoes   3
Onion   1
Rice   2 tbsp
Urad dhal   2 tbsp
Cumin seeds   1 tbsp
Lemon juice   1 tbsp
Mustard seeds   1 tsp
Sesame oil   ½ tsp
Curry leaves   few
Salt to taste.  
 

Method:

  • Roast the rice, urad dhal, and cumin seeds – all separately and powder each one separately.
  • Peel and cut the cucumber, tomatoes and onion into cubes.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add the mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Fry the onion till light brown.
  • Mix the rest of the ingredients and toss gently.
  • Serve as a side dish with rice.
