Ingredients:

Green gram sprouts   1½ cups
Onions   2
Mosambi or Oranges   4 or 6
Cucumber   1 cup
Green chillies   2
Ginger   a small piece
Salt to taste  
 

Method:

  • Pick, clean and soak whole green gram overnight in water in a vessel.
  • Next morning wash well, drain off all water, cover and keep aside for the gram to germinate and sprout for a whole day and night.
  • It will be ready for the next day. Wash gently, remove the skin which will float on top of the water. Drain all water from the germinated sprouts and keep aside.
  • Chop onion, green chillies and ginger into fine pieces. Chop cucumber and squeeze out excess moisture.
  • Remove skin, pith and seeds of mosambi or orange. Add salt and gently mix everything together. Chill well before serving.
