Ingredients:

Drumstick leaves   1 cup
Red chillies   10
Bengal gram dhal   1 tbsp
Urad dhal   1 tbsp
Tamarind   gooseberry sized
Grated fresh coconut   1 ½ tbsp
Salt as required  
For seasoning:  
Oil   1 tsp
Mustard seeds   1/4 tsp
 

Method:

  • Heat little oil and fry chillies, Bengal gram dhal and black gram dhal together till golden.
  • Fry leaves separately in little oil till it shrinks. Do not over fry.
  • Grind everything together with coconut, tamarind and salt to coarse paste.
  • Season with mustard seeds.
