Ingredients:

Rice   1 cup
Green peas   1 cup
Coriander leaves   1/2 cup
Mint leaves   1/4 cup
Onion   1 no
Garlic pods   5 nos
Ginger   1" (piece)
Green chillies   5 nos
Salt   1 tsp
Oil   1 tsp
Jeera seeds   2 tsp
Curry leaves   5 nos
 

Method:

  • Pressure cook rice and green peas separately.
  • Grind together coriander leaves, mint leaves, half onion, garlic, ginger, green chillies and 1 tsp of jeera seeds into a paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add jeera seeds, curry leaves and the remaining half of finely chopped onion.
  • Fry, till it turns transparent.
  • Add the ground paste, cooked peas and salt.
  • Mix it thoroughly, till the raw smell of the paste goes.
  • Add rice and mix well.
