Vazai Thandu(Banana Stem)Washed and finely chopped   250 g
Moong dhal   2 tsp
Urad dhal   1/4 tsp
Red chilli   2 nos
Mustard   1/4 tsp
A small piece hing  
A small pinch ginger  
Green chilli   1 no
Grated coconut   2 tsp
Butter milk   1/4 cup
Cooking oil   1 tsp
Salt   1/2 tsp


  • Soak vazai thandu, moong dhal, butter milk and salt together for 15 minutes.Fry mustard, urad dhal, red chilli, hing, green chilli, and ginger in oil. Add the vazai thundu to the above mixture.
  • Let it cook for 10 minutes, and then add the grated coconut to the above.
