Ingredients:

Toor dal   30 g
Channa dal   30 g
Split Moong dal   15 g
Urad dal   10 g
Raw rice   10 g
Red dry chilli   5
Onions   2
Fennel seeds   4 tbsp
Curry leaves and cilantro   1/2 cup (Chopped)
Salt to taste
Oil   1 tsp
 

Method:

  • Wash and soak the dals and rice
  • Grind the soaked dals with red dry chilli and fennel seeds in to a fine batter
  • In the batter, add the onions, curry leaves, coconut, salt and mix well.
  • Heat 1 tsp oil in tava, pour a scoop of batter in the center and spread evenly in outward circular motion.
  • Pour tsp oil on the edges of the adai and cook for 5 mins in medium heat when you see small holes on the top, the adai is done
  • Now move the spatula around the edges of the adai and flip it to the other side and cook for 3 mins till golden brown.
  • Remove from the fire and serve
