Ingredients:

Medium onion sliced   1
Vegetable broth   1 tbsp
Medium cloves crushed garlic   4
Minced ginger   1 tbsp
Red bell pepper cut into 1/2 inch pieces   1
Sliced shiitake mushrooms (remove stems)   1 cup
Sliced green cabbage   2 cups
Extra firm tofu (or paneer) cut into 1/2 inch cube   150 g
Soy sauce1 tablespoon rice vinegar   2 tbsp
Chopped cilantro   2 tbsp
Sesame seeds   1 tbsp
Salt and white pepper to taste
 

Method:

  • Heat 1 tablespoon broth in a stainless steel wok or 12 inch skillet Stir fry onion for about 2 minutes in broth over medium high heat stirring constantly. Add red pepper and mushrooms. Continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  • Then add garlic, ginger and continue to stir for another 2-3 minutes. Add cabbage, and rest of ingredients and cook for another 2 minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
