Recipe Name: Jeera Rice

Prep Time Cook Time Serves



Rice   1 cup
Garlic   10 to 15 flakes
Oil   10g
Cumin seeds   1 ½ tsp
Black pepper   ½ tsp
Salt as required  


  • Cook rice and allow it to cool completely. Separate the grains and mix half a teaspoon of oil to it.
  • Peel garlic and slice into thin round pieces.
  • Pound pepper and cumin seeds coarsely.
  • Heat oil, add garlic pieces and fry till light brown. Add pepper- cumin powder and fry for another two minutes.
  • Pour over rice, add salt, mix well and serve.
