Prep Time Cook Time Serves



Refined flour (Maida)   40 g
Ghee   10 g
Cheese   20 g
Salt   1/8 tsp
Baking powder   1/4 tsp
Black pepper powder   1 pinch
Mustard powder   1 pinch
Milk   1/2 tsp


  • Sift maida, baking powder, salt and seasoning together.
  • Rub the fat in to the maida.
  • Make a soft dough using cold water.
  • Roll into a rectangle 1/4 cm thick. Divide the dough in to three imaginary parts.
  • Sprinkle 1/4th cheese on parts 2 and 3.
  • Fold part 1 on to part 2 and then part 3 on part 1.
  • Roll again to 1/4 cm thickness.
  • Repeat this process of rolling and folding again.
  • Brush with milk and sprinkle the left over cheese all over.
  • Cut in to approx.2 cm squares and bake in hot oven till light brown.
