Recipe Name: Fish Cutlets

Prep Time Cook Time Serves



Fish   150 g
Garlic   4 flakes
Whole black pepper   4 corns
Vinegar   2 tbsp
Fat   2 tsp
Potatoes   150 g
Onion   40 g
Green chili   1(chopped)
Corianer leaves   few
Salt   1/2 tsp
Red Chilly powder   1/4 tsp
Garam Masala   1/4 tsp
Egg   1/4
Bread crumbs   2 tbsp(for coating)
Fat   for frying


  • Wash and clean the fish.
  • Cook the fish with vinegar, garlic and whole black pepper till done.
  • Remove bones and flakes it.
  • Boil the potatoes, peel and mash them.
  • Chop onion, green chillies and coriander leaves.
  • Take one teaspoon of fat in a pan and fry the chopped onion etc.
  • Add flaked fish to it and cook till all the moisture dries off.
  • Add the mashed potatoes and spices to the fish mixture, and mix well.
  • Shape in to cutlets.
  • Dip in beaten egg and coat with bread crumbs.
  • Deep fry in hot fat till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with chutney or sauce.
