Recipe Name: Spinach and Channa Dal Cutlets

Prep Time Cook Time Serves



Potatoes   200 g
Channa dal (Grams)   100 g
Spinach   50 g
Green chilly   1/2 tsp
Salt   1/2 tsp
Red Chilly powder   1/4 tsp
Amchur and Garam Masala   1/4 tsp
Egg   1
Bread crumbs   2 tbsp (for coating)
Fat   for frying


  • Boil, peel and mash the potatoes.
  • Cook channa dal till tender and dry off the excess water.
  • Wash and chop spinach and green chilly finely.
  • Mix all the above ingredients along with the spices.
  • Shape in to cutlets of desired shape.
  • Dip in beaten egg and coat with bread crumbs.
  • Deep fry in hot fat till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with chutney or sauce.
