Suji (semolina)   100 g
Water   double the volume of suji
Potatoes   100 g
Onion   60 g
Carrots   60 g
Peas(Unshelled)   100 g
Green chili   1
Fat   2 tbsp
Peanuts   40 g
Fat   20 g
Mustard seeds (sarson)   1 tsp
Washed urad dal   1 tsp
Chana dal   1/2 tsp
Salt   1 tsp
Curry leaves   3-4
Red Chilly powder   1/4 tsp
Whole Red Chilly   2(small)
Coriande leaves   1 sprig
Lemon   1


  • Boil, peel cut potayoes in to small pieces.
  • Dice carrots and shell peas. Steam these vegetable till tender.
  • Chop onion and green chillies
  • Roast suji in a pan. Remove and keep aside.
  • Heat oil and add mustard seeds. When they crakle,ad curry leaves.
  • Then add urad and chana dal and peanuts and fry to golden brown colour.
  • Add chopped onion, fry a little and add seasoning.
  • Now add steamed vegetables and water. Bring to a boil.
  • Add suji with constant stiring and cook till the mass is dry.
  • Serve sprinkle of lemon juice.
