| Roasted flaxseed powder |

| Black gram dal |
|
30 gms. |
| Spinach puree |

| Tomato puree |

| Onion |

| Salt to taste |

Method: |
- Soak black gram dal and rice in water for 7-8 hrs.
- Grind the soaked dal and rice into fine paste. Add less water while grinding the grains.
- Keep aside the dal and rice batter for another 7-8 hrs. This will initiate fermentation process.
- Mix spinach and tomato puree with rice-dal batter. Flax seed powder and finely chopped onion can be added at this stage.
- Apply this batter on preheated pan. Spread evenly over the pan and cook till it turns golden brown.
- Serve this duet uttapa with pudina chutney while its hot.
