| The term anorexia means 'loss of appetite' or 'distaste for food'. In this illness, people refuse to eat, which in course of time, can lead to general weakness. The patient becomes emaciated and skinny. Today, it is a common ailment among young girls who refuse to eat to remain slim and trim. It can also occur due to emotional disturbances, mental stress and some disorder.

Anorexia
Mix 1 teaspoon of lime juice with an equal quantity of ginger juice. Add one gram of rock salt to it and place it in sunlight for three days (Cover the container with thin muslin cloth to avoid dust particles). Take a teaspoon after each meal. It will tone up the digestive system and improve the appetite.

- Ensuring regular bowel movement and following a balanced diet is a must.
- Apply an ice cube over the stomach for half an hour before meals.
- Take a cool hip bath (by sitting upright in the bath tub) once or twice daily.
- Lead an active outdoor life.
- Abdominal massages are very beneficial in treating anorexia.
