| Dysentery |
| Dysentery or loose motions along with blood is a serious condition affecting the large intestine. The pathological condition of this disease is caused by two organisms, namely protozoa and bacilli. When this is caused by protozoa, it is called amoebic dysentery, and when caused by bacilli, it is known as bacillary dysentery. It may be acute or chronic.

- Presence of yellowish mucus with stools.
- Blood passes with the stools.
- Feeling of constant desire to ease oneself.
- Rise in the body temperature.

Dysentery
Take 20 gms of unripe fruit pulp and roast it on direct flame and mix with 250 ml of buttermilk (or water). Add jaggery to sweeten the mixture and take three times every day. This remedy is very effective in the treatment of both types of dysentery.

- Patient should refrain from having his usual diet as long as acute symptoms are present.
- Avoid all kinds of fast foods.
- Avoid tea, coffee, white sugar and alcohol in any form.
- Only orange juice and water should be taken in this period.
- The intake of Butter milk is suggested as it combats bacteria.
