Prep Time Cook Time Serves



Refined Flour   40 g
Butter   30 g
Castor sugar   30 g
Pineapple slices   1
Egg   1/2
Milk   1/2 teaspoon
Baking powder   1/2 teaspoon
Brown sugar   1 tbsp
For Pineapple sauce
Pineapple juice   75 ml
Corn flour   1 tsp
Sugar   1 tsp
Butter   1 tsp


  • Put pineapple slice and cherry at the bottom of a jelly mould. Sprinkle brown sugar on it.
  • Stiff together the flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Cream butter and sugar till soft. Now beat in the egg and fold in the flour.
  • Add milk. Pour the cake mixture over the arrange fruit in the mould.
  • Bake in a moderately hot oven (370 degree F).
  • Un-mould it on a plate and serve with pineapple sauce.
  • To make pineapple sauce, add little water to corn flour to get a paste.
  • Add this paste to pineapple juice and cook till it becomes thick, stirring constantly.
  • Add butter and sugar. Mix well. Pine apple sauce is ready.
