Method: |
- Wash, dry and peel the kathal with greased hands and cut into pieces with a greased knife.
- Deep fry to a golden brown colour and drain excess fat.
- Grind onion, ginger, garlic and green chilli to a paste. Chop tomatoes.
- Fry the onion paste to a brown colour in fat adding little water intermittently and drying it off. Add chopped tomatoes and seasoning and fry again.
- Add fried pieces of kathal, fry for 2-4 minutes, add water and simmer for 15 minutes on slow fire.
- Serve hot sprinkled with garam masala and chopped coriander leaves.
