Appendicitis is a condition when the appendix gets swollen or inflamed, mainly because of primary obstruction of the appendix lumen. The risk of having appendicitis is higher for the age group of 10 - 30 years. It's main symptom is a shooting, almost unbearable pain on the lower right side of the stomach.
