Ingredients:

Greens   1 cup
Garlic cloves   4
Chopped Onion   1
Mustard seeds   1 tsp
Urad dal   1 tsp
Asafetida powder   1/2 tsp
Dry red chili   1
Tamarind paste   1/2 tsp
Oil   2 tsp
Salt to taste
 

Method:

  • In a hard bottomed pan, add oil, greens, garlic, onions, tamarind paste, pinch of salt and cook till the greens are done. Cool, grind and adjust salt.
  • Heat ghee in a kadai, add the mustard seeds, urad dal and sauté. Add the asefeotida, dry chilly and sauté for a min.
  • Now add these seasoning on top of the greens and stir.
